If no official SP is returned, if no price is taken, all bets will be settled at the last Industry show passed.
bet365's ante-post prices are available on our website. Ante-post wagers are accepted on the basis all in run or not, entered or not. Except where specifically stated otherwise, stakes are lost on an ante-post bet if a selection does not take part and no Tattersall's Rule 4(c) deductions are made from winning ante-post bets.
When the same horse is taken to win two or more races in ante-post doubles, trebles and accumulators special reduced odds will be laid.
On days when classic or other trials occur, ante-post betting may be suspended and new prices issued.
Jockey Club Rule 121 decrees that Stewards are empowered to reduce the numbers in a race if, at the overnight declaration stage, too many have been left in for the safety of horses and jockeys. Ante-post bets on horses compulsorily withdrawn in these circumstances will be void and stakes returned. Bookmakers, in these circumstances are authorised to make appropriate deductions from winning bets on the race, depending on the price(s) of the withdrawn horse(s) at the time of withdrawal in accordance with Tattersalls Rule 4(c). On the 'Day of the Race Prices' Tattersalls Rule 4(c) will also apply.
If a race is postponed to another day and overnight declarations stand, then ante-post bets stand. However, single ante-post bets on horse racing will be made void and any selection involved in accumulative bets will be treated as a non-runner if:
- The race is abandoned.
- The race is officially declared void.
- The conditions of the race are altered after bets are made (as defined under Tattersalls' rules).
- The venue is altered.
- The running surface is altered (eg Turf to Dirt/All Weather or vice versa).
Ante-post bets are settled at the Price and Place terms applicable at the time of acceptance. Should a wrong Price or Place terms be given in error we reserve the right to settle the bet at the correct Price/Place terms that were available at the time the bet was struck.
Should a wager struck at a price on the day of an event couple selection(s) in that event with selection(s) in future event(s) then if the first selection(s) does not run the wager will be executed on the remaining selection(s) on the basis of all in, run or not.
Bets are settled to win unless 'Each-way' is selected. An Each-way bet is a bet of twice the selected unit stake. It contains one bet of unit stake on the selection to 'Win' and one bet of unit stake on the selection to 'Place' according to the terms advertised for the event.
In general, for UK horse and greyhound racing only, the 'Place' part of Each-way bets will be settled as per the following 'Place' terms:
Handicaps - 16 or more runners one quarter the odds - first four places
Handicaps - 12 - 15 runners one quarter the odds - first three places
All other races of 8 or more runners one fifth the odds - first three places
Races of 5, 6 or 7 runners - one quarter the odds - first two places
Less than 5 runners - the place money is invested to win
In all races the number of runners shall be the number of runners coming under starters orders. Bets will not be accepted where the place stake exceeds the win stake.
Each-way doubles, trebles and accumulators will be settled 'win to win' and 'place to place' in accordance with the above.
Where two selections dead-heat half the stake money is lost and the full odds are paid to the other half. If more than two dead-heat the stake is proportioned accordingly.
Wagers will be accepted win only at starting price for 1st favourites. The Place part of any wager inadvertently accepted for unnamed favourites will be void - win or lose.
In the event of two selections starting joint favourites, stakes are divided equally. Where three or more selections start co-favourites stakes will be divided proportionately.
Should the favourite be withdrawn before coming under starter's orders but too late for a new market to be formed, bets on the favourite in that particular race are void. In the event a joint or co-favourite being withdrawn, the proportion of stakes on that selection will be void, and the remaining proportion of stakes will be divided equally on the selections that do run.
Forecast wagers are accepted for all races of 3 or more actual runners and will be settled as a Straight Forecast (i.e. selections to finish 1st and 2nd in correct order) in accordance with the Computer Straight Forecast return. If, there are less than 3 actually running in a race, all Forecast wagers for that race will be void - win or lose. Should Reverse Forecasts (i.e. selection to finish in either order) be required this must be clearly stated. In the event of no Computer Straight Forecast return being declared, Forecast wagers will be settled in accordance with the NSL Straight Forecast chart provided that 3 or more actually run in that race. Should there be no official SP return for a race all Forecast wagers for that race will be void.
Where a client selects Combination Forecasts A.B.C. and stakes £6.00, this will be settled as 6 x £1.00 Straight Forecasts:
Forecast bets are not accepted containing unnamed favourites.
Should any Forecast contain a non-runner, the total stake will be placed to win on the other selection.
In races where a horse finishes alone and no forecast dividend is returned, all Forecast bets nominating that horse to finish first will be settled as a win single at Starting Price on the winning horse. All other Forecast bets in the race are lost.
In the event of two or more horses dead-heating for first or second place, separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying forecast.
Forecast doubles, trebles, patents & yankees
Forecast Doubles, Forecast Trebles, Forecast Patents and Forecast Yankees are accepted for horse meetings on the proviso that there are 3 or more runners in each race. Settlement will be in accordance with the Computer Straight Forecast.
Forecast Accumulators are only accepted as part of a Forecast Yankee. Any other bet which includes a Forecast Accumulator will be void - win or lose.
In Forecast Doubles, Trebles and Yankees, should one of the stated Forecasts include a non-runner, total returns from any winning Forecast(s), Forecast Double(s), etc, will be invested as a win single(s) on the remaining selection.
Tricasts are offered on all Handicap races (and occasionally other races) where there are 8 or more declared runners on the proviso that at least 6 run. To win, a customer has to nominate the first 3 to finish in correct order. Any winning Tricast is paid according to the official Computer Tricast return which is declared to a £1 stake.
If a Tricast is accepted for a race in which no Computer Tricast is declared, the bet will be settled as a Computer Straight Forecast on the first two nominated selections.
If a Tricast is accepted for a race for which no SP Computer Tricast return is made, the bet will be settled as a SP Computer Straight Forecast on the first two nominated selections.
In a Tricast containing a non-runner the bet will be settled as a Forecast on the remaining two selections in the order stated. Two non-runners in a Tricast, the bet will be settled as a win single on the remaining selection.
Tricasts are only accepted for named or numbered selections. Tricasts are not accepted including unnamed favourites.
In the event of two or more horses dead-heating for first, second or third place, separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying Tricast.
Tricasts are accepted for singles only.
Should a horse be withdrawn no Show/Board Price will be laid after the time of withdrawal unless the 'market' is reformed.
Early morning prices/day of event prices
These prices are on offer daily, subject to fluctuation.
In the event of a withdrawal(s) Tattersalls Rule 4(c) will apply:- Non-runner - No Bet.
Withdrawals other than ante-post
Where a horse is withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders, or is officially deemed by the Starter to have taken no part in the race, stakes will be returned on the withdrawn horse and winning bets will be subject to deductions in accordance with Tattersalls' Rule 4(c). The rate of deduction will be based on the following scale:
DEDUCTION TABLE FOR WITHDRAWALS OTHER THAN ANTE-POST
|a) ||3/10 or shorter ||75p |
|b) || 2/5 to 1/3 ||70p |
|c) ||8/15 to 4/9 ||65p |
|d) ||8/13 to 4/7 ||60p |
|e) || 4/5 to 4/6 ||55p |
|f) ||20/21 to 5/6 ||50p |
|g) ||EVS to 6/5 ||45p |
|h) ||5/4 to 6/4 ||40p |
|i) ||13/8 to 7/4 ||35p |
|j) ||15/8 to 9/4 ||30p |
|k) ||5/2 to 3/1 ||25p |
|l) ||10/3 to 4/1 ||20p |
|m) ||9/2 to 11/2 ||15p |
|n) ||6/1 to 9/1 ||10p |
|o) ||10/1 to 14/1 ||5p |
over 14/1 no deduction
In the event of two or more horses being withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders, the total deductions shall not exceed £0.75 in £.
Should a horse be withdrawn and a new market formed, then any bets laid at 'Show' prices prior to the new show will be subject to the above deductions. In the event of a further withdrawal after the market has been re-formed, bets placed at 'Show' prices in the original market will be subject to a further deduction based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the original market. Bets placed in the new market will be subject to a deduction based on the current price.
The above scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in Early Price races and will be used for other events where we specifically advertise that deductions in line with 'Tattersalls 'Rule 4(c) will apply'.
In the event of a false start, etc. resulting in a race being re-run, 'under starters orders' is negated and stakes will be refunded on horses taking no part in the re-run, with returns on the remaining runners subject to Tattersalls'Rule 4(c). The number of runners taking part in the re-run governs Place terms.
Walkovers and void horse races
Walkovers and void races count as races but any horse so involved will be treated as a non-runner for settling purposes.
Horse racing (non UK and Ireland)
For some of the major overseas horse races, an industry SP and forecast/tricast may be declared. In these cases, if no price is taken and Tote (Pari Mutuel) is not requested, then bets will be settled based on the industry declared SP and forecast/tricast dividends. Normal place terms will apply for Each-way betting.
The above also applies to bets placed for racing in Dubai.
SPs are returned, and normal Each-way terms apply.
France and Italy
Pari Mutuel dividends are paid to a 1 stake unit and the following accepted:
Pari Mutuel dividends are declared to a US$2 stake. We accept win and show (1-2-3) bets.
Each-way bets will be settled in accordance with the 1-2-3 Show Pool. We do not accept the place (1-2) pool. Dividends are declared with stake inclusive.
Note, with regards bets on American Racing:
-No unnamed favourite bets are accepted.
-No bonuses or consolations are paid on any Speciality bet taken on American Racing.
-Maximum pay-out for bets on American Racing is £25,000 (or currency equivalent).
Please note that in some countries' Pari-Mutuel systems, some horses are 'coupled' in win pools, usually where the horses have the same owner. Coupling does not normally extend to place or forecast pools, although in some races, particularly in America, coupling can on occasion apply to all pools.
If forecast betting is to be offered on any race taking place outside of Great Britain and Ireland, the conditions will be clearly stated.
If no price is taken and no industry SP is declared, wagers are subject to the country's Pari Mutuel rules subject to the above.
